Things I Love #45

So I don't know about you guys but this has been a BUSY weekend:  Dirty Royal shows, weddings, lunches and a ton of reading for varsity (Confession: I am already behind).  Luckily we only have a three day week what with public holidays and leave.  I am looking forward to the mini-break.  Now, on to the things I loved this week:

How awesome does this Shark Week party on Little Chief Honeybee sound?  I'm going to keep this in my bookmarks for when Shark Week rolls around in South Africa.

On the topic of sharks, these photos of sharks with human teeth make me laugh.

Mamelodi for a Month is a pretty interesting project where one middle class family will live in a shack in Mamelodi for a month.  They are doing it to highlight the circumstances of the majority of South Africans.  

I love the Grammar Girl site, it helps me out at work more often than I care to admit.  Here is her take on Yoda Grammar.

Brazilian kids correct celebrities grammar on Twitter.  This made me laugh!

These two-sentence horror stories are surprisingly creepy!

How great is this anti-chandelier made from 85 light bulbs.  I swear when we get our own place, the first thing I am buying us is a chandelier of some form.

I got hold of another Adventure Time game this week - Fionna Fights.  It's super simple but super awesome:

So Many Colours...

Yeah, I know.  This is not exactly a deep of thought-provoking look back at the year but, seeing as I have kept track of the colours I put on my nails this year, I thought why not?
You see, I get very bored with my appearance very quickly.  Changing my wardrobe or my hair or getting fresh ink isn't always an option.  Changing my nails on the other hand is relatively cheap and something I can do as often as I want!

Up until this year I didn't really use a lot of colour on my nails - it was black, black and more black.  Now I have a range of colours and I am always on the lookout for more!!  There are also so many designs that I want to try.  Pinterest is a great source of inspiration and there are so many nail blogs out there it's quite astounding!  They make my attempts at creativity look like child's play.  Anyway, here is too even more colour in 2013!

Things I Love # 10

This week's Things I Love starts off with the The Bark Side ad from Volkswagen.  I realise this isn't exactly new but it is new to me and I think it's just awesome:

This origami street art is gorgeous.  I admire people who have the time and vision to do things like this.

The Neon Museum Boneyard in Las Vegas.  I saw this link on the Lucky Pony blog and it's officially added to my list of places to visit.

My Grandmere had the most amazing collection of little boxes that I used spend many hours playing with when I was younger.  She passed away recently and my mom and dad brought me a few as keep sakes.  I love them and I love the memories they bring back:
