Glorious, glorious sloth t-shirts.  I want them all.

Speaking of t-shirts, will someone please organise a Bill Murray t-shirt for me?

Hyper-realistic drawings of owls by John Pusateri.

Pussy Riot members take tour to New York.

Neil Gaiman reads Green Eggs and Ham to the internet:

Vote for this super awesome X Mansion Lego set right now!  If it gets made, the Lego Death Star will have some serious competition for my affection.

Some photos from the Dirty Royal show on Friday night:

Things I Love #64

Another week done and dusted.  Is it just me or is January flying by?  I'll assume it's not just me because that's better for my sanity!  Here's what caught my attention this week:

Saint Exupery lands at last.  Did you know the creator of The Little Prince went MIA during World War II?  I did not...

There is a Dogs in Cars Calendar and it's pure happiness.

What the Dark Knight would look like as a quirky indie movie:

Animals with Human Personalities.  Such a cool illustrated series by Kim Nguyen.

A ghost ship, filled with cannibal rats is headed for Britain.  Sounds like something from a horror movie!!

Sea creatures getting ready for bed.  So much unexpected cuteness.

Meowls.  That is all.

And lastly, how happy is this Hayao Miyazaki figurine?

Things I Love #62

So January is officially in full swing.  I am back at work, back to blogging, back to trying to be healthy and almost back to derby.  Here's my first list of internet goodness for 2014:

A pretty impressive collection of Batman graffitti found in abandoned buildings.

Awesome stained glass posters for 80's movies.  The Terminator one is my favourite.

Star Wars characters as Warhol soup cans or, as the article title calls them, Star Warhols.

Love these Iron Fist Panda Pile Leggings and this Grave Dancer Miniskirt.

A collection of the most beloved street art of 2013.

Some sneak peeks at the new Black Milk Batman line *drools*

The Visible Gummy Bear from Think Geek.  LOVE.

Also this 3D unicorn mug.

Awesome Star Wars Ring Designs.  I want them all.

English Translation of Haruki Murakami's "Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and his Years of Pilgrimage" Announced.  Yay!

Gemma Correll's Pug Rock Tee is all kinds of perfect.

So are Liz Climo's animal illustrations.

Gerard Way Teases New, Cat-Starring Title "All Ages" on Twitter.  Another yay!

The Simpson's pay tribute to Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli:

My Little Raptor: DNA is Magic.  A My Little Pony/Dinosaur mashup.

Some super cute fan art featuring Thor and Loki as desserts (among other things).

Kawaii Star Wars and Superhero Leggings...so super cute!

This Stained Glass Octopus Chandelier won't fit in our flat but it's still pretty amazing.

Rock Legends Wearing Today's Band Tees.

Beautiful Hyper-Real Bubblegum Drawings by Julia Randal.

Marvel Superheroes as super cute animals.

Peter Mayhew (Chewbaca) shared a whole bunch of original Star Wars set photos on Twitter.

Some created a proper Ministry of Magic website and it's amazing.

DIY Death Star Disco Ball.  I will be making this.

And finally, English has a New Preposition, Because Internet.

Things I Love #59

Happy December you guys.  Can't believe there are only 31 days left of 2013!!  Rolo the hamster got an early Christmas present this afternoon when I cleaned his cage which is why this picture is at the tops of this week's list:

I might have posted this before but how hilarious are these cats in tights??

Although if I had these super cute Totoro tights I would not put them on my cat (if I had a cat).

Duncan Shotton's Rainbow Pencils leave beautiful paper rainbows when you sharpen them.  Such a pretty idea...

5 Rules For Being a Grown-up is about how the "real requirements of life don't require genius, just lots of practice."

I am busy reading The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay and its making me want to learn to pick locks.  I think I need these lock pick earrings to get me started.

How cute is this Winnie the Pooh Oh Bother supercut from Disney?  Still one of my very favourite characters:

The 30 Greatest Comic Book Moments of 2013.  I haven't read all of these but I think the exchange between Harley Quinn and the Green Arrow is my favourite.  And the puppy bomb.

Check out this awesome collection of the Christmas sweaters worn by the inhabitants of Ooo.

I just love this Skeletal Beauty photo series by Pauline Darley.  Someone come and do my makeup like this please!!

Make boring meals more fun with Manga Plates!!!  Seriously wishing for all of these....

source

The Moment After the Show is a pretty awesome collection of pictures of musicians right after they leave the stage.  Check out the book here.

10 Star Wars Episode VII Fan Posters that are really, really great.  Cautiously optimistic about the new movies...

And finally, I am loving Uetsuji Shotaro's dream-like visions of alien encounters and ghostly visitations.

A Short Break

If you're a regular reader, you may have noticed that none of my usual posts appeared over the weekend.  To cut a long story short, I go completely sidetracked by my birthday festivities that I didn't get around to posting.  I also realised that I have an essay due next Monday and a weekend away coming up which means I am a little pressed for time right now.  I have decided to take a mini blog break to finish my essay and enjoy my weekend away with my folks.  I'll be back next week Tuesday with a catch-up and hopefully I'll finally have time to put together the posts I have floating around in my head.  In the meantime, here is a video of a sleepy pug:

See you all next week!

Things I Love #53

Believe it or not, this is the last Sunday in September.  That means my birthday is just short of two weeks away and Christmas is around the corner.  And I am not kidding about the Christmas part, I have already seen Christmas chocolates and decorations in the stores!!  Earlier and earlier every year!!  Anyway, here is what I loved this week:

Strawberries.  Tons and tons of strawberries:

How cute are these cats in sweaters?? Adorable.

New Adventure Time comic unites your favourite weird princesses for a single quest.  With LSP, Skeleton Princess and Breakfast Princess, this sounds like a winner.

Want to see some of the outfits Finn has sported in Adventure Time?  Click here.

Jay Hynes has an awesome photo-series called Grandmas Rock.  It's super cool.

Overheard in New York is exactly what the name suggests: snippets of overheard conversations in New York.

Spencer Chamberlain from UnderOath has a new band called Sleepwave.  Very curious about this...

Oreo Peanut Butter sounds like the most amazing thing ever.

4 Rules to make Star Wars Great again - an animated open letter to JJ Abrams.

How awesome is this X-Wing and Millenium Falcon pencil skirt from Her Universe?  Must.  Have.

Society, Science, Survival:  Lessons from AMC's The Walking Dead.  This is a real course you can take.  Sign me up please!

Also, how The Walking Dead and Toy Story are the same.  This is crazy!

Eau De Toast because you wouldn't want to smell like toast?!?  Sadly it's limited edition and all gone...

30 Pieces of wisdom from Haruki Murakami books.

My Little Pony taxidermy custom made for you by Misfit Menagerie.

And lastly, I won my first ever internet giveaway recently and the prize was this super awesome print by Kim Longhurst:

Thanks again Kim, I love her so much!!

And that's all for this week.  If you've seen anything you love this week, let me know in the comments.

The Pugsession

I am in the midst of a huge Pug obsession, hence the Pugsession title.  I have always wanted a dog with a squishy face and for ages my breed of choice was an English Bulldog.  Then it was a Boston Terrier.  Then a French Bulldog.  And now, Pugs.   I want ALL OF THE PUGS.  Anyway, I was browsing Pinterest in search of pictures of my future dog when I stumbled across this video:

Adorable right?  Future pug will definitely have an Avengers outfit or two.

Things I Love #49

Happy Spring guys!!  I am so excited about the end of winter it's a little bit ridiculous.  I am excited for less layers, potential water world visits and the ability to wear the other half of my closet.  Also, it's my birthday in a month and eleven days...the big 3-oh.  Very excited to celebrate even if it is the end of a decade!  Now, on to this week's list:

Finally got my hands on The Ocean At The End Of The Lane...yay!

Funko are adding to their Adventure Time range with Fionna, Cake, Gunter, PB, Lemongrab and BMO.  I can't decide which ones I want more....leaning towards PB and BMO right now.

18 Ways Adventure Time is making you a better person.  I can think of more the 18 but this is a good start.

And my last Adventure Time link for this week, here are the show's 28 best guest voice actors.  Quite surprised by some of these!

I don't wear heels but these Star Wars heels make my heart happy.  The Pantone ones are pretty cool too.

How amazing does this candy sushi look?  Super tempted to do this for my birthday party...

This is the best prank I have ever seen:

I love these retro Pokemon ads, especially the Jigglypuff one.

No, Pandas are not a hopeless and wasteful species.  Seriously, it bugs me that anyone could think this in the first place!

Pictures of cats in the sink.  I really have nothing to add to this.

28 Things that happened after the Harry Potter books ended.  A collection of all the bits and pieces JK Rowling has revealed over the years.  It always makes me smile that Neville ends up happy.

Gummi Storm Troopers.  This is such a cool idea and I can assure you that I will be purchasing a bag of gummi bears and adorning them with all our mini figs head gear.

I got to meet my friend Liz's new gerbils this week.  Their names are Mac and Cheese and they are the friendliest little dudes:

I am off to track down the band announcements for next year's Ramfest.  Considering they are bypassing Durban again despite a good response this year, I am secretly hoping the line-up sucks.  Or not...there's been rumour that Biffy Clyro are coming to our part of the world.  I'll forgive them if it's Biffy.

Things I Love #48

I can't believe it's Sunday already.  This week has flown by in a haze of frustration and essay writing.  On the bright side, I got an unexpected and quite substantial essay extension...hooray!  That means I can get back to some sort of blogging schedule this week.  Anyway, here's what I loved this week:

Pandas on slides.  So much cuteness:

How cute are these cat donuts?  Japan has the best stuff!!

8 reasons we will miss Futurama.  Honestly, I think I love Futurama way more than I ever loved The Simpsons.  I am sad to see it go...

Someone got a custom-made Jake the Dog engagement ring!!  Lucky lady...

Also in shiny things, this amazing R2D2 and C3PO best friends necklace from Rapscallion Design on Etsy:

source

Here are 16 bookshops you need to see before you die.  Shakespeare & Company in Paris is my dream bookshop.

Elmore Leonard died this week....here are his fantastic rules for writers.

How cute is this Road Tripping with the Solar System comic?  Poor Pluto...

This faux octopus taxidermy is so perfect and needs to find it's way into my home ASAP.

The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta looks like so much fun!

These stocking are my new favourite thing:

There is a real My Neighbor Totoro house in Japan.  As if I needed more reasons to visit Japan...

These dancing superheroes make me smile.

Why we all need a daily dose of brain magic...such an interesting read.

And lastly, would you look at these super cool Star Wars pencil skirts?  Perfect for nerding up your work wardrobe.

Seen anything you love this week?  Let me know in the comments:)

Things I Love #47

Happy Sunday everyone.  Its been a very quiet weekend in these parts.  I have a ton of reading to do and an essay to write so I've been desk bound.  That said, procrastination is great for finding additions to today's list of things I love:

Journalism is not narcissism.  An interesting read from Gawker about the line between journalism and confessionals.

I found this list while looking for a quote this week.  It made me laugh.

23 Things everyone believes that have been disproven by Mythbusters.  I love the Mythbusters.

Continuing with the list theme, here are 15 things you probably didn't know about Wolverine.

Dogs dressed as crustaceans is all kinds of cute.  Sorry future-dog, you will have at least one of these outfits...

A trailer for The Wind Rises with English subtitles:

What if Disney Princesses had Instagram?  B for Bel has created some awesome mock-ups.

The Power Trip is a super interesting essay about how people in power often betray the very values that get them there.

Rocksound has some pictures of Deftones in Cape Town.  I wish I had been at this show...

Google Poetics creates poetry out of Google's auto-complete suggestions.

Did you know that you can get a Pirate Certificate from MIT??  Just fulfill the physical education requirements by taking sailing, archery, fencing and pistol shooting.

Last weekend, three different people sent me pictures of skateboarding mice.  I found out later that it's an actual thing!!  I also found out that my friends know me really well:)

How adorable is this http://dailybunny.org/2013/08/12/determined-bunny-will-free-this-leaf-from-the-parsley/Daily Bunny?  I get this in my inbox every day and I couldn't recommend it more:

Check out this awesome PANTONE - Rain edition on Behance.

Lastly, here are some awesome My Neighbor Totoro mashups - Guillermo Del Totoro and the Grumpy Catbus.  Awesome.

Things I Love #42

Right now the internet is full of news of the upcoming San Diego Comic Con and, as per usual, the desire to be there myself is overwhelming.  It's definitely one of our long term goals to go.  We'll need a ton of cash though because I know I will want to buy ALL OF THE THINGS.  Daydreams aside, here's what I loved this week:

Malala Yousafzai is AMAZING.  Not only did she stand up to the Taliban and survive an assassination attempt but she's also addressed the UN on her 16th birthday.

Since I bought my piggy planter at the I Heart Market, I've been on the lookout for awesome animal DIYs.  Buzzfeed has a collection 14 that I'd really like to try starting with the Plastic Animal Taxidermy Plaques.

Also on Buzzfeed, 38 Signs You're a Basset Hound.  The puppies on this list are so adorable!!

Goodreads have put together an interesting infographic about the Psychology of Abandonment.

One of the biggest reasons I wish I was going to SDCC this year?  This amazing Wolverine Labbit!!

source

I want everything in this awesome new The Walking Dead clothing line from Her Universe.

There is a new Ratchet and Clank coming!  Yay!

The Revolution will be Crowd-funded.  An interesting interview with Alan Moore from Salon.

The Secret Toy Society is possibly one of the coolest ideas I have seen in a long time.  Basically you make a toy and leave it somewhere for someone to find.  Just the idea makes me smile.

Neon Werewolf takes photos of everyday Wookies and they are just as awesome as they sound.

Have you seen these Star Wars inspired Mickey Mouse ears from Etsy?  I'd like the Boba Fett ones please.

Street Art Utopia put together this list of some of the year's best street art.  Blows my mind.

Look at this Totoro hat form Scotako Boutique on Etsy.  I need this in my life before Winter ends....

On the subject of Totoro, look at this adorable Pickachu/Totoro mashup I saw on Tumblr:

source unknown

The NeuroKnitting project turns brainwave activity into awesome knitted scarves.  Awesome.

Hello Kitty gets her first comic, launches fan-fiction contest.  In another SDCC exclusive, Sanrio is releasing a Hello Kitty comic called Hello Kitty Fashion Music Wonderland inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

I am in love with these Day of the Dead Nightmare Before Christmas Funko Pop toys.  They are available for pre-order and I am definitely going to try get my hands on Jack:

Lastly, I am fairly sure I have the best parents ever.  Today they surprised me with a Kindle!  Yay!! Thanks guys, I love you both!!!

Albino Hedgehog Love

Yesterday I went into the pet shop to buy The Stinker some food...bad idea.  They happened to have a baby albino hedgehog and it was quite possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen.*  I have always loved the idea of having a little hedgehog buddy and it took all my willpower to leave the store with only a bag of hamster food. Just look at how cute they are:

1/2/3/4

Adorable right?  Definitely my next pet provided my next pet is not a dog.
*Probably not the cutest thing I have EVER seen but pretty close...

Things I Love #34

So I have terrible time management skills.  Really, really terrible time management skills.  I have time to update the blog, I think I should update the blog but then I sit on the couch and watch T.V.  I didn't even get half of my reading done this week.  Anyway, I'm already more organized this week so hopefully I can get back to a more regular posting schedule.  Fingers crossed. Now onto Things I Love:

A preview of The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys and an interview with Gerard Way on USA Today.  Two of my favourite things *sigh*

This step-by-step guide to Thriller would have come in handy at Collette's wedding.  We could only remember moves 19 and 20 and decided we were doing The Velociraptor instead.  Fun times.

Forget copyright!  We've always stolen music. Interesting article from Salon about the politics of copyrights.

An interesting excerpt from Homeward Bound: Why Woman are embracing the New Domesticity.  For someone who is terrible at domesticity I am not sure what I think of all this.

Whiter Moral Courage?  Salman Rushdies NY Times op-ed will make you think.

On a lighter note, I tried this drippy nail tutorial from Honesty WTF and its AMAZING!!  Seriously, take a look:

Oh My Geekness has an awesome collection of geeky jewellry.  I want this, this and this please!

Okay, did anyone know it was World Penguin Day on April 25th?  Me neither!!  Here are 10 penguin videos from xojane to help you with your belated celebrations.

Rozenn LG makes awesome paper art.  That is all.

Jason Liwag makes gorgeous art inspired by pop culture.  So many cool pieces but I think I like this one the most.

Tree library lets you read books on the street.  Honestly, I can't think of anything better!

Star Wars characters reimagined as character from Chinese folklore.  Joseph Chiang has done a brilliant job with these.  I want them all!!

Ever wondered what caffeine looks like?  Check out the Wellcome Image awards for that and other super cool science pics.  Caffeine is number 5.

LOVE this Star Wars Occupation flowchart from Visual.ly.  I ended up with Ewok Chief.  Let me know where you end up.

This ad campaign for Reporters without Borders does an amazing job highlighting the dangers of censorship.  Pretty pertinent seeing they've finally passed the Secrecy Bill:(

Today I made Hello Kitty cupcakes.  They turned out awesomely.  Probably because they came from a box.  I'll share my adventures in baking later this week but in the meantime I leave you with this:

And lastly, here are the 30 Happiest Facts of All Time.  If this doesn't leave you with a smile on your face I just don't know.

Seen anything you love on the internet this week?  Let me know in the comments:)

Things I Love #29

So, I have decided that from April, Things I Love will become a weekly occurrence.  Basically, I am just finding too many cool things too quickly for the fortnightly version and I'd like to at least try and keep things current around here;)

Have you heard of Dachshund UN?  It's a sitting of the UN Human Rights Commission staged with Dachshunds!  The cuteness is overwhelming...

I have posted about the Adventure Time watches from Nooka, now look at these ones from the Cartoon Network Shop.  This one is my favourite.

This church in Tampa Bay Florida looks like a chicken!!  Originally designed to act as a compass to those at sea, the church's architectural features look remarkable chicken-like.

Wow!  Did you know that the March 11th Japanese quake could be heard from Space?  Scarily amazing.

This is a really sweet story of a dad hacking Donkey Kong so his daughter could play as the Princess.

I suspect I may have posted these before but how beautiful are these Jelly Fish lamps by Roxy Russel?  I'd love to have one in my home.

Ever wanted a Gummy Bear replica of yourself?  Just visit Tokyo's FabCafe, pose for a 3D body scan and there you go!

If that doesn't strike your fancy then what about a chandelier made from 3000 Gummy Bears?  I definitely think thats more my speed.

And on the topic of chandeliers, these octopus ones by Adam Wallacavage are just gorgeous...

More adorable bunny GIFs from the Daily Bunny...I just love these!

Although you'd never tell from this weekend, Winter is heading our way.  I definitely need this Yoda hoodie and this Totoro one to make sure I stay warm and cozy.

The world's first panda-themed hotel is currently my dream destination.  How cute??

The Daily Dish is an amazing series of paintings by Klari Reis.  Created inside a petri dish, there will be one a day for the rest of 2013.

Imagine if Poke Balls were actually like nesting dolls?  This Poketryoshka series by Michael Myers shows us what that would be like.

I have been trying to start my first academic essay which is due on the 8th of April and it's a misson.  I am so out of practice.  Thats way I thought the Essay Typer was such a fun idea...not that I would use it of course...

Mmmm...Adventure Time pancakes...I'll take some of those!

What Would "Insert YA Heroine Here" Do?  This is a pretty old link that I found in my reading list. It still makes me laugh.

This is Cat Bounce.  Perfectly useless, perfectly awesome.

Check out the new Star Wars range from Black Milk Clothing.  I would like it all please.

Someone has turned Quentin Tarantino's movies into Penguin books.  I think the Reservoir Dogs one is my favourite.

Goodbye to All of That is a beautiful essay by Joan Didion that makes me want to live in New York and stay away from New York all at once.  It also makes me want to pick up a pen and write which is always a good thing.

Found anything you love lately?  Feel free to add it to the comments.

Things I Love #26

This week has been quiet mostly.  Not having a car really puts a damper on things...no sushi, no lunchtime excursions and relying on lifts to get everywhere.  Hopefully we'll get the car back this week and things can return to normal.  In other news, after a long morning at the varsity yesterday, I am officially a registered student again.  My student card photo is awful but the fact that it says Postgrad kind of makes up for it.  My mom and dad are awesome for coming to fetch me at a ridiculous time and then sitting around waiting for me to finish..thanks guys.  Now on to other things I love...

Is personal technology the new rock n roll?  I don't think so but this was still an interesting read.

Funko Pop have a new range that combines Domo with DC characters - Batman, Flash, Green Lantern and Superman.  How awesome?  My favourite is Domo Flash:

source
Have any of you watched Air Jaws?  Its the one where the sharks attack the seals by diving out of the water.  Well, the other day, a Fur Seal got his revenge!  Photographers caught the seal eating 5 Blue Sharks off Cape Point.  Not for the faint-hearted.

I am an adult that likes kid's stuff and that's okay.  Loved this article on The Mary Sue!!

Check out these awesome Tattoo Wood Carvings by Bryn Perott.  I love the two arms the most.

Also from The Mary Sue, I Know That Feel Bro - pop culture icons that feel each other's pain.

The Upside of Distraction proves that sometime distraction is a good thing.  Nice to hear when you're like me and battle to focus for too long.

We went to watch the very awesome Van Coke Kartel on Friday night.  It was a fun, fun night.

Daily Dishonesty is an awesome project by a hungry graphic designer.  These beautifully illustrated lies  are one's we're all guilty of.  Originally seen on the Happiness Is blog...one of my favourites.

The Daily Otter provides you with a daily dose of otter cuteness.  From the makers of the Daily Bunny.

I am coveting this shirt from the Orphan's Arms.  So nice.

These melting tights are the best.  I've seen a few DIY's online which I am thinking of trying.  I'll keep you posted.

Speaking of DIY's and tights, here is an awesome DIY for Batgirl Tights.

Death Star Lollipops...could there be anything more perfect.  I wish they'd survive the trip out here.

The new Internet Explorer marketing campaign is excellent.  Check it out here.

Luke Jerram makes glass replica's of harmful viruses and bacteria.  Pretty creepy.

Itswhatiminto has an awesome look at the Homeward Bound show which takes place alongside the Cape Town Tattoo Convention (South Ink Xposure).  Maybe next year I can be there in person...that would be nice.

Speaking of the tattoo convention, here is a  little video from the Mail & Guardian:

Things I Love #24

Good afternoon and welcome to the first collection of things I love in 2013.  I have been man down with some silly virus for the last four days meaning I have had plenty of time to peruse the internet for randomness.  Hope you enjoy:)

The Great Gatsby is on of my all time favourite books.  I love the story, I love the way it was written and I love the 1920s.  Anyway, I am eagerly anticipating the movie and, if you click here, you can see some great character posters and watch the newest trailer.  Thanks Mandy for sharing this.

Would you look at the awesomeness of this Skull Pendant Light on Etsy?  I would be super stoked to have this hanging in my house.

And speaking of skulls, I happened upon a Sass Diva 50% of sale the other day and walked away with this great little skull necklace.  Its a little different to my normal neckwear but I just couldn't resist!

In need of some cuteness?  Here are the 40 greatest dog GIFs of all time.  I really, really need a dog guys!!

Harland Miller is a London based-writer and artist who has created some pretty cool Penguin book covers for his latest show.

Another artist from Mexico, Carlos Amorales has an installation called Black Cloud which is made up of 30 000 black paper moths.  It's breathtaking!

The Hindu festival of Holi is someting that has always caught my eye.  So many colours!  Anyway, German photographer Katrin Korfmann captured some truly amazing aerial pictures.

This poster detailing the power of magical white beards based on length made me smile.  More proof that Gandalf kicks ass!

When you are as clumsy as me, a tablecloth that improves with spillage pretty much sounds like a dream come true.  Check them out here.

Want to see Elrond and Thranduil as penguins?  Of course you do, click here.  Gotta love penguins, or if you are the Ice King, little tuxedo people.

I can't think of anything better than a couch made of marshmallows.  So soft and squishy.  Japanese designer Kei Harada has created one that's come pretty close at least in looks.

We had a quiet New Years this year so we missed out on any fireworks but this video of fireworks in reverse more than makes up for it:

LEGO are making a Marvel video game!!  Such awesome news.  I have played the Harry Potter and Star Wars LEGO adaptations and loved both. This one will feature Wolverine and Loki among others.  Officially excited.

Staying with LEGO, they are also releasing an official Back to the Future set!  I might actually be tempted to buy this one!

These pictures show what paint looks like before the tint is mixed in.  So unusual.

Now this is the kind of installation I can really appreciate.  Leah Foster makes these amazing 10 ft tall cupcake towers!  Yum!!

And finally, a video of all the Stan Lee cameos including the Avengers, you're welcome:

Rolo, Rolo and Some More Rolo...

**Every week this month, I am going to attempt to post some kind of review/recap of this year, starting with Rolo because who doesn't need some extra cuteness in their lives??

All my life I've had pets.  Big ones, small ones, giant ones.  I grew up with a Great Dane called Kelly who tripped my dad, broke his boat and watched my food for me while I toddled around.  I had a cat called Tiger who was bad tempered beyond belief and only loved you on his terms.  I've had goldfish and hamsters that I thought were girls and who turned out to be boys.  I had three amazing dogs who put up with me styling their hair, crying into their fur and trying to coax them into the pool to swim with me...I still miss them!  I've had birds called Woodstock and Murphy and Tidbit who all ended up flying away somehow or another.  Most recently, I have had rodents - Sullivan and Stinky the mice and now Rolo the hamster.  It's amazing how much personality such a small little creature can have.  He is a toast addict who begs for food so often you'd think we never feed him.  He rolls over all the time, falls off his slide and likes to keep toilet paper in his food pouches for reasons I will never understand.  He is my substitute dog and in January he will be a year old.  Every time I swear not to get another pet because of the heartbreak of losing them, I remember the difference it makes to have another little life in the house and I get sucked in all over again:)  Anyway, enough with the rambling, here are some pics of Rolo from this year:

In the beginning..
In the toilet roll...
Munching...
Begging...
Snoozing...

And that is pretty much how he spends his day!  The luck of some!!
